Between September and October of 1835, Charles Darwin visited the Galapagos Islands aboard the HMS Beagle.  What he observed and collected there fundamentally transformed the natural sciences and led to the revolutionary Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection.  This changed the way we look at and understand the world.  Zarin will tell us about her recent excursions to the Galapagos Islands and explain what Darwin learned from his trip.  These unique Islands continue to provide the setting for many other scientific advances.  Zarin’s virtual tour will weave in highlights about these many discoveries.
