South Korea is a harmonious union of traditional values with forward visions.  Grounded in history and tradition, it has become one of Asia’s most advanced countries.  Zeren's presentation will take us to the country’s three largest cities – Seoul, Gyeonju, Daega – and will also include visits to an artisan's village on Ganghwa Island, the Danghwasa Temple complex for an overnight stay (sleeping on thin floor mats!), and the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).  Her trip to the southeastern city of Kwanju to attend Asia’s first Biennial in 1995 will further illustrate the country’s forward vision.
