As most of you know, Notre Dame de Paris suffered a devastating fire over five years ago. French President Emmanuel Macron promised that it would reopen in five years, a feat many thought impossible.  Yet in early December 2024, Notre Dame reopened its massive doors.  A week of opening events culminated in the formal opening.  Kathy and her husband watched it all on television and were moved to tears more than once.  They vowed to see it for themselves as soon as they could, which was this summer.  It did not disappoint!  Kathy will highlight some of the moments from the opening ceremonies, discuss a layperson’s understanding of some of the trickier aspects of the reconstruction, and end with photographs of the resurrected Notre Dame.  She adds:  “Prepare to be wowed, not by my presentation, but by the magnificence of this awe-inspiring…
