About the Event
Northwest Passage – Polly Cronin
The Northwest Passage refers to efforts by Europeans over several centuries to discover a Western route to the riches of the Orient without having to sail south the length of South America, through the Magellan Straits, then north and west across the Pacific Ocean. Its history is littered with tales and tragedies – ice-choked passageways and lonely burials. Polly’s Northwest Passage voyage in September 2022 retraced the abortive route from Cambridge Bay, Canada, to Greenland, albeit in reverse.
Home of Paula Cronin, 3 Lincoln Lane, Cambridge, 617.864.5266:
Lincoln Lane is a short (~120ft), dead-end street off Fayerweather Street, between Huron Avenue and Brattle Street, about 1.3 miles West of Harvard Square. There are three houses on the lane, and #3 is the middle one, a red-shingled house with black shutters and grey roof, directly in front of you as you walk up Lincoln Lane.
Parking: Parking consideration has been granted by the City of Cambridge for Fayerweather Street, so you may park there in resident-only spaces without being ticketed.
