Iceland: Land of Fire and Ice – Gwyn Loud and Francie Caudill
Join Gwyn and Francie as they share their experiences exploring Iceland on very different trips separated by 35 years! Gwyn traveled to Iceland in 2021, driving through fields of lupines and lava. Highlights included visiting a brand-new volcano, getting sprayed by waterfalls, birding adventures with skuas and puffins, and discovering Iceland's early ventures with democracy. In 1986, Francie joined an Earthwatch expedition led by a British professor whose research was directed toward predicting volcanic eruptions. This turned out to be more of an Icelandic adventure than she had imagined!
