Australia:  A Family Trip "Home" – Deborah Hoover

Fifty years ago, in New South Wales, Australia, Deborah’s husband Malcolm single-handedly raised and bred Dorset sheep on a farm twice the size of Central Park. At the urging of her daughters, Deborah organized a trip to Malcolm’s farm and hometown, including visits with relatives and “mates,” as a way to experience firsthand his (and their) Australian heritage. Join Deborah’s family in their adventure last April as she shares her impressions of the Australian character and countryside. Additional highlights include hikes in the Royal National Park (the second oldest national park after Yellowstone) and to the summit of Mount Kosciuszko (7,310 ft), the highest peak in Australia.
